what kind of audio file do you accept?

We accept various audio formats for podcasts or audio repair, including WAV, AIFF, MP3, and more. But for mixing and mastering only high quality audio files of course. If you have a specific format, feel free to ask!

You can upload your audio or use a transfer link like Wetransfer for example.

what is the turnaround time for projects?

Turnaround times vary depending on the complexity and scope of the project. We provide estimated timelines during the initial consultation.

do you offer revisions?

Yes, we offer a revision process for our services to ensure you’re completely satisfied with the final product. On mastering, audio repair or podcasts, 2 rounds of revisions are included, on mixing depending on the complexity of the mix, we can discuss how many rounds can be included.

how do you handle confidentiality?

We take confidentiality VERY seriously. All projects are treated with strict confidentiality, and we’re happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) if required.

what method of payment do you accept?

We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards and bank transfers. Detailed payment instructions will be provided upon project agreement.

Can you fix anything?

While we can significantly improve audio quality, some issues may be beyond repair, especially if the original recording is heavily damaged or if the problems affect the core audio elements. We will always communicate the possibilities and limitations during the assessment phase.

can you repair audio from any source?

Yes, we can repair audio from various sources, including recordings from microphones, instruments, and field recordings.

How do you determine the costs of audio repair?

Costs are determined based on the severity of the issues, the length of the audio, and the time required to restore it. We offer free assessments for initial consultations to provide you with a transparent quote.

What is the turnaround time for one podcast episode?

Turnaround time typically ranges from a few days to a week, depending on the length and complexity of the episode.

Do you provide voice talent for audiobooks?

Yes, we can connect you with experienced voice talent or assist you in recording your own narration.

Do you provide distribution services for podcasts?

While we focus primarily on editing, we can advise you on best practices for distributing your podcast across various platforms and can guide you through the setup process.

what are you preferred mixing techniques and approach?

Our mixing approach is tailored to the genre and vision of the project. That said one thing remains true for all mixes: communication and sharing around the vision is key in getting the right sound. We utilize techniques such as dynamic range compression, equalization, reverb, and stereo imaging to create depth and clarity while ensuring the mix supports the emotional intent of the music.

how do you handle feedback and collaboration during the mixing process?

Collaboration is at the heart of the mixing process and we encourage an open dialogue. Clients can provide feedback at key stages, and we offer remote listening sessions to discuss changes in real-time. We value your input to ensure the final mix aligns with your vision.

What is the ideal format for files submitted for mixing?

  • For optimal results, we recommend providing high-quality WAV or AIFF files at 16bit/44.1KHz or 24-bit/48kHz or higher.

  • Additionally, please ensure that tracks are properly labeled and organized to streamline the mixing process.

  • Provide the BPM and any indication that could be useful.

Mastering

do you provide stem mastering services?

Although it is not what mastering is meant for, stem mastering can help fixing parts of the mix if there have been issues during the mixing process or your are not satisfied with parts of the mix. In that case the stems can be exported and serve as master input.

What kind of file do i get back?

The standard for a mastered file is delivered at 44.1KHz and 16 bit and at a loudness that suits streaming platform and online distribution. But 48KHz and 24 bit is also possible.

what kind of file do i need to provide for mastering?

  • Please provide the final mix in a high-quality format (WAV or AIFF), along with any reference tracks that reflect the sound you’re aiming for.

  • If you have specific loudness targets or other preferences, please communicate those as well.

  • Next remove any limiting or compressing process you have on the masterbus.

  • Do you try to change your export settings (bit depth and sample rate) from your production settings.

  • Provide a master at minimum and around -6dB full scale. You can ensure this by playing your track through the loudness meter in your DAW and check that the true peak meter does not exceed at any time -6dB full scale.
